Vision

Impacting Lives, Transforming Communities

Vision

Our vision is to support young people in all aspects of life, to speak out against injustice and make local communities better places to live.

King’s Reach is a community charity based in Maidstone, Kent. King’s Reach was founded in 2003 with a vision to support young people and their families and be at the forefront of helping to pioneer and develop new initiatives. King’s Reach is currently involved in a number of projects including Alternative Curriculum Education, family and individual support, and community focused sport.

More information on what we do can be found here

Much of King’s Reach core vision is based around the work of Dave King who in 1999 received an MBE for services to young people in Maidstone. Dave has been involved in community work in Maidstone for over 25 years, helping to support those who are most vulnerable.

Our aims

  • To help and support young people by providing education, information and services.
  • To prepare young people for independent living by building up their confidence and skills to enter the world of work.
  • To provide assistance for families who are affected by breakdowns in communication and family relationships.
  • To assist in the provision of community facilities and services for those on the margins of society.

How we work

King’s Reach believes in meaningful relationships and it is these relationships that remain at the core of what we do. We are passionate about the work we do and know that change is only achieved when words are put into practical action.
